The Innovation Fellowship is a 6-month program that equips learners with the skills and support needed to break into tech. Participants gain hands-on training, industry exposure, and access to a robust network—while specializing in one of three in-demand tracks: Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, or AI Business Solutions.
Each track now embeds AI literacy, durable skills, and business fluency, ensuring that all Fellows graduate with the technical and professional tools needed to succeed in today’s evolving job market.

Each week, they build tech and career-readiness skills through a mix of guided instruction, hands-on projects, and independent practice—both individually and in groups.
Data Analytics
NYC & Newark
Fellows develop practical data skills, beginning with the Google Data Analytics Certificate and expanding to include Python, databases, and AI tools. Through hands-on projects, participants graduate with real-world experience to launch careers as well-rounded data professionals.
AI Business Solutions Engineer
Atlanta & Los Angeles
Fellows learn to identify problems, design solutions, and use AI and modern tools to build real products from scratch. They gain hands-on experience and graduate ready for entry-level roles that blend business and tech.
Cybersecurity
NYC & Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area
Fellows learn foundational and cloud security, Python scripting, and ethical hacking while building hands-on projects and portfolios. They gain applied experience and industry-aligned credentials, preparing them for entry-level IT, networking, and cybersecurity roles.
Live in one of the regions: New York State, Newark (NJ), Atlanta (GA), Los Angeles (CA), or the Baltimore–Washington Metropolitan Area
Be 18 years or older by the start of the program
Earn less than $60,000/year (or less than $55,000/year if you live in Atlanta or the DC/DMV area)
Have basic computer literacy (e.g., typing, using email, online research)
Have a high school diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency (HSE)
Be proficient in English (written and spoken)

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the Innovation Fellowship:
Be a resident of New York State, Newark, NJ, Atlanta, GA, Los Angeles, CA, or Washington D.C.
Be 18 years of age or older by the start of the program
Make less than $60,000 a year or less or less than $55,000 in Atlanta
Possess a high school diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency (HSE)
Authorized to work in the United States or current work visa
Speak and understand (written and spoken) English that enables a fellow to fully participate in classes, certification preparation, and fluency required for the average workplace
Possess basic computer literacy skills (typing, internet research, email, etc.)
Complete the entire recruitment process, pass included assessments, and complete and pass the prerequisite Foundations course

No. The fellowship is aimed at serving people from diverse backgrounds with little to no post-secondary education and limited, foundational technical experience.
Foundations is a five-week-long prerequisite course for enrollment in the Innovation Fellowship. The Foundations Course aims to gauge your persistence and ability to engage in independent, self-paced learning of technical content. The course consists of self-guided modules in addition to live sessions that will build your baseline knowledge of the tech industry and specific skills required for the fellowship. Your acceptance into the course is dependent on completion and passing the Foundations course.
Classes are held Monday through Thursday from 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm, local time. The majority of courses will be offered virtually. Each month, fellows can expect 2-4 in-person activities, most often at the TKH office and/or a central location in your local city. Classes typically include a mixture of demonstration, discussion, group exercises, and independent work time, as well as a short break. Additionally, fellows should expect to spend between 12-15 hours per week outside of class studying and working on assignments.

Additionally, a range of office hours, tutoring, review sessions, industry engagements, and community building events will be offered in person throughout the program.
Classes will be taught by experienced tech professionals with instructional experience, seasoned alumni, and guest speakers.
As a fellow, you may receive the following:
Historically 75% of graduates land their first technology role after The Knowledge House while approximately 50% land a full-time role with an average salary of $80k within 12 months of completing the program.
