Washington, D.C./DMV area

The Knowledge House is partnering with Project Z to expand into the Washington, D.C. Metro area and Baltimore, MD. According to DC’s Workforce Investment Council, high-demand sectors in the region include STEM and Business and Office Administration. The DC Metro area has several technology-focused consulting firms and companies such as Booz Allen Hamilton and Amazon. Despite Washington, DC being a majority-minority city, there exists a significant wealth gap between White households and households of color. Moreover, workers of color face an unemployment rate 10% higher than the national average of 6%. TKH and Project Z are well-positioned to address the job outcome needs of DC residents and provide essential workforce development support for communities that need it most.
